Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino tweeted that the Japanese game developer is currently working on the “next great thing” in the Yokai Watch video game series. The news comes alongside the announcement that the Yokai Watch TV show is currently taking an extended hiatus, presumably so the team can work on what’s next for the franchise, which was extremely popular
on the Nintendo 3DS system in Japan.
“We’re taking a break from TV Yokai Watch, but we’re working on the next great Yokai Watch-esque thing, so if you like Yokai, stick around!”
