One of the rather surprising new announcements for this week's The Game Awards was SEGA's announcement that the enjoyable Sonic Racing franchise is returning with Sonic Racing Cross Worlds. While all we received was a teaser video, with no release date or window specified, more information about the upcoming project has surfaced. Metadata from SEGA Asia's website revealed that Sonic Racing Cross Worlds will allow players to “race across land, sea, air, space and time,” so it looks like those wacky transformations are making a comeback.
