Earlier this year during a live stream, Nintendo announced that its 2013 3DS game Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon would be returning to the Switch with HD visuals.
Recently, in September, it was confirmed that Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD will launch on the hybrid system platform in the Summer 2024, and now in the second update, the title has been rated by the ESRB. It’s rated “E” for “everyone” and features “mild fantasy violence” along with “in-game purchases.”
The Luigi’s Mansion series has received DLC before and there are already mentions of an online multiplayer mode coming to the Switch version of Luigi’s Mansion 2. Here’s the full score summary:
“This is an adventure game in which players take on the role of Luigi as he recovers mysterious artifacts. Players search haunted houses while using a flashlight and a vacuum box to vacuum up items and capture ghosts. Some ghosts can hit Luigi, causing him to cry out, blink, and collapse on land. Other sequences allow players to shoot seeds at mice and throw cartoon bombs at enemy creatures.”
While former Mario voice actor Charles Martinet has now retired from filming, it’s worth noting that his voice will be featured in this new HD version of Luigi’s Mansion 2. You can find out more in our previous story here on Nintendo Life:
