In case you don’t know Kholat, we leave you with the shared details:
From Meridiem Games we announced last October a collaboration agreement with the video game distributor Red Art Games, through which we will bring some of its spectacular games to Spanish stores. The first batch consisting of Legend of the Skyfish, Steel Rats and Children of Zodiarcs, will be available in Spanish stores in physical format on the 17th of this month. Now we present you a new title: Kholat, which will arrive in 2021.
Narrated by one of the most popular British actors, Sean Bean, and created in Unreal Engine 4, Kholat is an adventure game with horror elements inspired by a real event: the Dyatlov Pass incident, where nine Russian hikers were mysteriously killed, that gave rise to innumerable unconfirmed hypotheses. The player will plunge directly into the inhospitable scenery of the Ural Mountains with the task of finding out what really happened. But the course of events may not be as smooth as it seems.
The game has won the “GameConnection Europe 2015” awards for “Best Story” and “Best Downloadable PC Game”. The Dyatlov Pass incident occurred in the winter of 1959. Nine hikers went on a trip to the northern part of the Ural Mountains on an adventure that had fatal results. The bodies of the expedition were found scattered on the slope of Kholat Syakhl. Russian investigators closed the case claiming that “an unknown force” had caused the deaths.
