The announcement of Metroid Prime Remastered was no surprise, but the news that the digital version would be available on the same day was a huge bombshell. Since then, despite issues with the availability of digital copies, Metroid Prime Remastered has been selling well.
However, some were hoping that Metroid Prime 2: Echoes and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption would receive similar treatment from Nintendo. One of them is artist Anthony Garcellano, who worked on the remaster as a performer. Garcellano said in a podcast video that is no longer publicly available, but was reported by Comic Book, that “I’m keeping my fingers crossed if they also remaster the second and third games.”
