Major additions/changes
New story elements
A new monster has been added and will appear in Gathering Hub missions.
New hit monsters and new Risen elder dragons have been added to the game.
New tasks have been added.
The level cap for anomaly research has been raised.
A larger variety of monsters now appear on Anomaly Investigations.
Added new weapons, armor, layered gear and skills.
Azure Star “Dragon Dance” and Azure Era “Soaring Dragon” have been added as layered weapons.
The level cap for armor upgrades has been raised.
New skills have been added to the pool of potential skills available during Curious Armor Crafting.
You can now earn additional bonuses when you expand anomaly slots on weapons.
Two types of armor expansions have been added to Curious Armor Crafting.
New prizes have been added to the Market lottery.
Added new trinkets and hanging scrolls.
Added new trade items to the Anomaly Research Laboratory.
New elements of the system
A new “Hunter Loadout” feature has been added to the item box.
(To preserve game data stability, this update will add 14 pages to the Hunter Loadout, with the next update expanding the page count to 28.)
New feature to enable/disable “Sale BGM” in hostess.
Added new guild map titles.

Bug fixes and balance adjustments
Hunter
Fixed an issue where the player could attract Hellfireblight while inside a tent.
Fixed an issue where the icons for Switch Skill Swap and Felyne Fireworks were not crossed out in the action bar if they were unavailable due to a status ailment.
Added additional mitigations for an issue that prevents certain weapon sound effects from playing if many sound effects occur at the same time.
Fixed an issue where the effect of the Wind Mantle skill would be canceled when using an item with an unsheathed sword and shield when jumping from a platform.
Fixed an issue for the longsword where the follow-up attack of a successful counter-attack within the area of effect of the Harvest Moon skill would occur elsewhere, if it was performed after counter-attacking a monster some time ago.
Fixed an issue for gunfire causing a Bullet Barrage attack to activate even if you only have 1 active Wirebug available, if you combo from Lunging Upthrust to Quick Reload.
If a monster was marked with a Bullshroud or Grancathar Kinsect and the player performed Kinsect Slash > Kinsect Glide > Kinsect Slash > Kinsect Glide, the hunter will not fly in the direction of the Kinsect mark during the second Kinsect Glide. This issue has been resolved.
Fixed a bug that occasionally caused two shots to be fired with a single button press when using the Heavy Marksman’s Crouching Bullet.
Fixed a bug that caused a line to appear in the center of the red warning symbol around the heavy arrow reticle meter when it overheats during a crouch shot.
Fixed the percentage in the explanation text for the Lv 3 Spare Shot skill from 20% to 25%.
(The actual percentage in play has not changed.)
Friends
Fixed an issue that caused the Palamute Silkbinder to be displayed during the Rush Jet drift animation when your Palamute is wearing the Rush costume.
Fixed an issue that prevented the player from using Felyne Fireworks under certain circumstances in multiplayer.
Fixed an issue that caused certain Buddy gear to break through the Argosy submarines that can be seen floating from the gathering center in Kamura.
Fixed an issue with some Buddy armor not displaying correctly.
Followers
Fixed an issue that prevented a Follower from riding a Wyvern mountable monster while another Follower is performing a Crouching Shot from a Heavy Bow Weapon or a Mech Silkbind Shot from a Light Archer.
Fixed an issue that caused Followers to temporarily stop moving when attempting to Wyvern Ride a monster that was forced into a mountable state by launching another monster into it.
Fixed an issue that caused Followers to fail to launch monsters while riding a Wyvern, depending on the type and position of the monster.
Fixed an issue that caused Utsushi’s voice line to get hit by the player playing during the Mission Complete sequence.
Fixed an issue that caused the Followers to return to the battle area when the player is in the camp, if one of the special weapons becomes usable during a fight against Ibushi or Narwa.
Followers will now be able to correctly dodge Chaotic Gore Magal’s back jump with a breath.
Followers will now be able to correctly dodge Apex Rathalos’ special attack.
Fixed an issue that occasionally prevented Followers from starting Wyvern Riding if the player took them with them on a mission with an Apex monster.
Fixed an issue where Followers would occasionally leave to find a monster to ride, but return without riding a monster when fighting an affected monster.
Fixed an issue that caused Followers to climb and descend elevated areas when starting Wyvern Riding under certain circumstances.
Monsters
Mitigated an issue where the Almudron would occasionally move up and down when overturned on certain field geometry.
Fixed an issue that occasionally prevented the effects for breaking parts of Chaotic Gore Magal from displaying correctly.
Fixed an issue that occasionally prevented Risen Kushal Daor’s breath attack from activating properly.
Fixed an issue that occasionally prevented the telegraph effect for Teostra’s Super Nova attack from displaying properly when joining the Risen Teostra mission as a guest.
Fixed an issue that occasionally caused a monster’s appearance to differ from its actual status when joining the Risen Teostra quest as a guest.
Fixed an issue that would occasionally cause monsters to stop moving and disappear when Malzeno and Lunagaron are in a turf war.
Fixed an issue that prevented the tail effect from displaying properly during the Scorned Magnamala intro.
Fixed an issue that prevented the armor portion on the right shoulder of the Scorned Magnamal from displaying properly.
Fixed an issue that occasionally caused Violet Mizutsune to behave unintentionally when sliding towards her target to attack.
Fixed an issue that caused the 8 eggs in Narwa Allmother’s thunderbolt to remain on screen even after exploding when Narwa was defeated.
Locations
Fixed an issue that would occasionally cause monsters or terrain to disappear when panning the camera while throwing a monster into a wall in the 9 Frost Islands area.
In version 3.1.0, an issue that prevented the player from clipping a severed tail if the tail overlaps the fence switch in the Arena was fixed. This fix was not displayed correctly in Ver.10.0.2 and onwards, so it has been fixed again.
Endemic life
Fixed an issue that caused two marionette spiders to be consumed when one is attached to a monster and the player tries to pull it back at the exact same time as the monster changes areas, also resulting in the player not being able to pick up additional marionette spiders.
Fixed an issue that occasionally caused Scale Lizards to drop materials they shouldn’t.
Base
Fixed an issue that allowed players to break through a wall at a certain location in Elgado Outpost.
Objects
A notification will now be displayed when you reach the maximum number of locked quests for Anomaly Research on the quest counter.
Fixed an issue that prevented the player from quickly skipping pages by holding the button on the item exchange screen in the Anomaly Research Laboratory.
Fixed an issue preventing a notification from popping up when the player has collected all the required materials registered in the wishlist in the Anomaly Research Laboratory.
Fixed an issue that occasionally caused predictive text to appear on the preview screen when renaming a layered armor layout with a keyboard connected to the Nintendo Switch.
Quests
Two features of Research Requests have changed:
1. Only completing any investigation at the specified level or higher now counts as completing the requirement.
2. If you also hunt a certain monster on the same mission, you will earn extra progress for the request.
Lower required quest levels will now appear for Research Requests.
Fixed an issue where guests were receiving Research Anomalies when performing a certain set of actions.
Fixed an issue that caused incorrect rewards to be given when completing anomaly research at a certain mission level for Bishaten and some A1★ monsters.
Fixed an issue that prevented Somnacanth from spawning in Lava Caverns in Anomaly Research.
A message that says, “Waiting for other players.” will now be displayed when a quest fails due to a bad connection and the host is waiting in the lobby.
Fixed an issue preventing the game from saving if another player joins the lobby when the game autosaves after completing a mission and before returning to base.
Equipment
Changed the Zinogre tree longsword name from Oppressor’s Abyss to Oppressor’s Law.
Fixed an issue that caused the barrel of the Antique Machina GL rifle to look unnatural while in the tent.
Fixed an issue that prevented Frieda/Désastra’s charging blade from being worn diagonally across the player’s back when sheathed.
Fixed an issue where Monksnail Hat and Ethereal Diadem layered armor would show up in the Special category.
Fixed an issue that caused the hunter’s hair to be visible on the back of the head when viewed in the pigment settings screen when equipped with the Shui Helm layered armor.
Fixed an issue where the color of the ears of the Ethereal Diadem layered armor would appear different from the skin color of the character.
Menus
Fixed an issue where item names would remain on the item bar even if they were dropped from the temp frame.
The Accept Praise gesture can now also be used while walking.
Fixed an issue that caused some hairstyles to clip when using the Wild & Elegant 1 gesture.
Fixed an issue that caused poses to display in the incorrect order when wearing Akuma layered armor, having a sword and shield equipped, and using a weapon pose set.
Fixed an issue that prevented friendly weapons from being displayed when using certain poses in the weapon pose pool, if friendly weapon display was turned off.
Added “Anomaly Research and Followers” to hunter information.
Adjusted the “Monsters Hit” entry in the hunter info.
Fixed an issue that caused a sound effect to play when the confirm button is pressed at the default cursor position in the monster lists and the endemic life list in the hunter’s notes.
Fixed the quest level numbers in the drop rate list for Afflicted Hardclaws and Afflicted Hardfangs in Hunter’s Notes.
Fixed an issue that caused an error when the player opens the album from the Hunter’s Notes at the same time as failing a mission.
Fixed an issue that occasionally prevented profile pictures from displaying correctly when receiving a Guild Card from another player
the rest
Fixed an issue in Russian where “Afflicted Dire Bone” and “Afflicted Dire Hardbone” were translated with the same phrase.
Updated the Arabic photosensitivity warning message displayed when starting the game.
Fixed an issue that would occasionally cause crashes when the save data is partially corrupted and the player changes the location where the Chaotic Gore Magal theme plays or sets a song that was not previously used.
Some event missions are now part of the app itself, instead of being downloadable separately.
An error notification will now be displayed when corrupt save data is loaded.
Various other bug fixes have been made.
