It looks like Warner Bros. Game has decided to delay the Year 3 content for Mortal Kombat 1. The reason for this, according to famous Mortal Kombat leaker _FateUnknown, is because the Mortal Kombat 1 Khaos Reigns downloadable content is not selling well. Year 3 content apparently included the second story expansion along with Kombat Pack 3.
“Kombat pack 3 and expansion of the second story were planned. Everything was canceled recently, no more characters after kombat pack 2. A cameo or two might work since they were in the works, but I don't know yet.”
