The god Hitogami might have ulterior motives when dealing with Rudy in Mushoku Tenseior so it seems to be subtly hinted at in some recent episodes.
In the world of this anime there is a divine being known as the “human God”, a character who is aware of everything and who has decided to advise Rudeus throughout his life since his reincarnation. After discovering that his mother, Zenith Greyrat, is lost in a dungeon, the human god summoned Rudeus to give him an interesting omen, as well as some help.
With the Mushoku Tensei game on the trail and its second season on air we will have a lot of entertainment this summer. Not to mention other series like the leak of the next Demon Slayer game. But for now, there is a lot to discover in the adventures of the hero who left his wife at home with the mission of saving Zenith, ignoring the advice of the curious god of Mushoku Tensei.
Hitogami and his help to Rudy: Does he have hidden intentions?
Hitogami’s prediction to Rudeus may be about to come true. While Rudy is fighting in the dungeons we cannot forget the decision he made: choosing the path of repentance. Or at least this was what Hitogami professed to him.
In their last meeting we can notice that Rudy became accustomed to the god’s “care.” And it is normal for gods to become fond of heroes, or perhaps Hitogami could be protecting the human who was reincarnated in his world. And because of his power, others proclaim Rudy as a kind of “God’s emissary.”
But what does the god think of our protagonist? Hitogami has guided him through his adventure, but his motives remain a mystery. What’s more, the deity’s fixation with Rudy is more than suspicious, and he has questioned her on several occasions.
The god might even have ulterior motives, since they clearly don’t have a brotherly relationship. It may even be the opposite, as Rudy is summoned against his will whenever Hitogami feels like it. Which makes us wonder: What is Hitogami’s goal and why did she choose Rudy out of so many people?
