With the arrival at Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack of Mario Party y Mario Party 2, its composer, Yasunori Mitsudawanted to recall old memories, and surely bitter for him, about the first game.
The Japanese worked on the original title and has confessed that he had various problems adapting to what the director, Kenji Kikuchi, wanted on the jazz soundtrack of Mario Party. The composer created a large number of jazz themes, around 200, which were rejected by the director. Finally, after more than two hundred attempts, the composer found the jazz melody that fell in love with Kenji Kikuchi and that, finally, remained in the title.
Next, we leave you with the tweets of Yasunori Mitsuda and the title soundtrack:
“thanks(?) to them, I set a record for scrapped songs—almost 200—that I’ve yet to break”🇯🇵 https://t.co/6Ws34rfVPF
