In perhaps the least surprising news of the month, 2K has announced that NBA 2K25 is coming to Switch *pant*. In September *double breath*. With a bewildering number of physical and digital editions *turn black*.

Ready to be on our way September 6, NBA 2K25 will feature a trio of athletes, depending on which edition you choose. Boston Celtics point guard Jason Tatum takes center stage in the Standard Edition, Las Vegas Aces’ A’ja Wilson is in the WNBA Edition, and slam dunk champion Vince Carter gets a gold medal in the Hall of Fame Edition.

To simplify things, it appears that only two editions are available on Switch: Standard and ‘All-Star’ Edition. The latter will include all the usual extras including 100,000 VC, ITEAM Promo Box, bonus ICAREER content and more alongside the base game.

We’re still not sure what will be different about this year’s lineup. 2K25 will once again be missing a handful of ‘next-gen’ features on Switch, but ICareer and ITeam will make their expected return. Fingers crossed that it’s an improvement over the watered-down 2K24, but brace yourself for disappointment…
