Nintendo has confirmed it will not be attending E3 2023 in what was hoped to be a reboot of the annual event held in LA. ReedPop took over the event in hopes that they could bring it back to life, but that dream appears to be dead with today’s announcement. Nintendo will probably hold its own digital Nintendo Direct presentation, which usually happens in June. IGN previously stated that neither Microsoft nor Sony will attend E3 2023.
“We approach our involvement with any event on a case-by-case basis and are always looking at different ways to engage with our fans. Since this year’s E3 show did not fit into our plans, we made the decision not to participate. However, we have been and continue to be a strong supporter of ESA and E3.”
