A few days ago, Venture Beat's Jeff Grubb said that the launch of Nintendo Direct would not have been possible in June at the time of the E3 2020 expected.

The same story went on to suggest that Nintendo was in the process of "telling its developers developers" he would not be holding the Director's order next month, following the official cancellation of E3. If you did not fully believe it at the time, "Eurogamer" sources also managed to "direct" the report. It goes on to say how Nintendo will not keep up with the presentation because it needs more "development time" in the release of the first team:

Eurogamer understands it (Nintendo) has told publishers to produce games during its show that it needs more time to improve on its first team games. The work is currently being held as a privately held company that is transitioning to remote workers.

According to the first Venture Beat report, Nintendo was wrapping up the June event, where it planned to showcase its first team plan for the rest of the year as well as presenting SuperVivioned Super 35 reports.

Jeff Grubb is the same person who said that two Nintendo presentations would come out before the end of March this year, and they did (there was an Indie World Presentation followed by Nintendo Direct). Recently, he has highlighted rumors about the Super 35's reboot of his resources – adding that there will be a new one Paper Mario the game returns the series to its own.

Nintendo has not made an official statement on whether Direct will go ahead next month – or if one comes out, but has previously announced that it will "continue to be flexible and redirect (its) efforts" to keep fans up to date, following this year's E3 cancellation.
