Nintendo has today expanded the Switch Online Game Boy library with three more classic titles.
The latest batch of titles includes the platformer Super Mario Land, the Breakout-like edition of Alleyway, and the sports game Baseball. These were all released in 1989 and coincided with the Game Boy’s 35th anniversary celebration:
“To properly celebrate 35 years of the Game Boy™ system, we have to take it back to year one! The Game Boy launched in 1989, and with it came classic titles like Baseball, Alleyway™ and the first Super Mario game available on the system, Super Mario Land™, Nintendo Switch Online members can play all of these original titles today as the latest addition to the Game Boy – Nintendo Switch Online library, just in time for the system’s 35th anniversary.
Japan also received one additional release. It’s about the action adventure Kaeru no Tame ni Kane wa Naru! The frog whose bell rings
This same game was originally revealed for Nintendo’s Switch Online Game Boy library last February and is exclusive to the Japanese service, so you’ll need to have access to a Japanese Switch account to try it out.
