A new flash cart advertised as the “only backup and development device” for all Switch consoles was recently teased and in a surprising twist, it has now led to the infamous Nintendo hacker Gary Bowser denies his involvement in the project.
The former member of Team-Xecuter, who was previously imprisoned and fined $10 million, refused these the latest allegations are circulating on the internetclaiming it is “not included” in this new device known as the “MIG Switch”.
References to Bowser were reportedly discovered in the DNS records of ‘AfterTimeX.com’, the same media that originally reported the news
In a separate post on Discord, Bowser further claims he was the victim of a “DNS poisoning attack” and was threatened by a “bad actor” demanding a ransom.
“I was the subject of a DNS poisoning attack on my nameservers, I repaired the damage and changed all my passwords, but unfortunately people will be talking, not what I needed before Christmas… I will not engage the trolls”
The MIG Switch website mentions that it is the only Switch device that can provide backup and development for all consoles, regardless of version, firmware or type. Many comparisons have already been drawn to the R4 cartridge, which dates back to the Nintendo DS era. The first batch of MIG Switch carts will reportedly ship sometime this month.
