In the latest episode of the Kit and Krysta Podcast, former Nintendo employees, Kit Ellis y Krysta Yanghave confirmed that Nintendo was a little worried for the premiere of Hyrule Warriors before its launch on Wii U.
It seems that Nintendo feared that the quality of the game could damage the reputation of The Legend of Zelda franchise. They mention that, within the company, they considered that the game should not be released in the West. In the end it was a total success on Wii U, so much so that it was also released on Nintendo 3DS and Switch, and then we received the installment inspired by Breath of the Wild, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Cataclysm.
