Nintendo has increased Switch production to 30 million for this fiscal year, according to Nikkei – iGamesNews

Interesting news comes to us from the Japanese news outlet Nikkei. According to shares, Nintendo plans to increase the production of Nintendo Switch.

The goal they now hope to achieve is to produce 30 million units during this fiscal year

, which would mark an all-time record for the console. This is because people continue to stay home longer because of the pandemic.

Along with this, it is also confirmed that Nintendo has contacted several suppliers of parts for production for the fifth year of the console on the market. If all goes according to plan, the console’s sales, which are currently close to 80 million worldwide, could reach the 110 million units

sold in its life cycle, thus surpassing the successful Wii.

However, we must remember that Shuntaro Furukawa, president of Nintendo, recently stated that they could not guarantee that there would be enough stock for all fans interested in the stores if the demand continued to rise. Still, it seems that they trust this production to reach that millionaire figure as well.
