The newly created Nintendo Pictures is rolling full steam ahead with their first movie, the Super Mario Movie, which is due to be released on 7th April, 2023. Today, the company’s flashy new website has gone live and although it is currently in Japanese only, it gives fans a little more information about Nintendo Picture’s plans. The blurb on the site says that the company’s ambition is for consumers around the world to learn about Nintendo characters through the medium of film which will remain in their hearts forever. The site also says that Nintendo Pictures challenges themselves to produce unique and surprising films based on their IPs. We don’t know what the company plans next after the Super Mario Movie but the Kyoto-based company has so many successful franchises that they are spoilt for choice.
