As planned, Nintendo has confirmed its latest updated sales data today. Thanks to this, we have been able to know the sales of consoles and games updated until the end of last year, specifically until December 31.
Among the details, it stands out that Nintendo Switch already exceeds 52.48 million
Well, a very interesting aspect to highlight is that 17.74 million of those sales occurred between April and December 2019 (9 months), almost reaching Nintendo's initial goal for the financial year that was 18 million.
These are the data that has been shared:
- In the absence of three months of the financial year, not to mention the releases of Animal Crossing: New Horizons
- Nintendo has also increased its forecast for Switch software sales. As of October 2019, Nintendo had set a goal of 125 million
- Actual software sales have already reached 123.13 million, which raises the new Nintendo forecast to 140 million.
Undoubtedly, these good sales make the forecasts very positive and it only demonstrates once again the good moment that the Japanese company is going through its hybrid console. Hopefully, this year that has just started at least as good as previous years and gives us more of a surprise.
