We’re now at the end of 2022, and that means Nintendo’s next big first-party release, Fire Emblem Engage, is just around the corner. Yes, in case you missed it, this title will launch on Switch on January 20th – so we’re only a few weeks away!
Nintendo has continued to introduce (and re-introduce) the characters one by one, with the latest marking the return of Lucina. This character made her debut in the 2012 Nintendo 3DS title Fire Emblem: Awakening. Here’s a little about her in the latest game (translated @SatsumaFS), with a view of her in battle:
Luca’s synchro skill, Dual Strike, allows anyone to Chain Attack regardless of class. The greater the range of your attack, the greater the chance of a chain attack.
Lucina’s melee weapon, the Noble Rapier, deals heavy damage to cavalry and armored enemies.
Luca’s engagement skill, Bond Shield, has a high chance of negating damage directed at adjacent allies. When used by a martial arts style unit, this chance is 100%.
Luca’s engage technique, All for One, allows all allies within 2 squares to engage in chain attacks. Depending on your formation, all of your allies can join in the attack.
In Fire Emblem Engage, players will be able to summon and fight alongside legendary heroes from past Fire Emblem games. In addition to Lucina, characters such as Marth and Celica will also return.
