The Switch Online service will seemingly carry over to the next generation of hardware in some way or form, and as we move closer to revealing the “successor” system at some point this fiscal year, Nintendo is now looking for recruits in Japan to help maintain its subscription-based offering.
On the back of the video game company showing positive signs of growth with headcount increases over the previous fiscal year, Nintendo is now looking to fill Switch Online roles related to ‘game software development’, front-end and back-end engineering services, and a director/planner job. .
Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa previously mentioned that the Switch’s successor will use the existing account system to make the transition to the next-gen machine as smooth as possible. In the future, he also wants to create a “lasting relationship” with consumers.
As for the Switch Online service, the company’s president has also repeatedly mentioned that “various initiatives” and “further improvements” are always being considered to keep users coming back.
