In some surprising news, it has been announced that Nintendo Live will be coming to Sydney, Australia later this year.
In an official social media post, Nintendo’s Australia and New Zealand accounts confirmed that the in-person event for “friends, families and fans of all ages” will take place from August 31 – September 1.
Fans can look forward to Switch gameplay, live stage events, photo opportunities and more. We’ll be sharing more details about this event in the future, so we’ll let you know when it’s revealed.
As you can see, the promotional image includes a lot of familiar faces and IPs including Mario, Peach, Link, Animal Crossing, Splatoon, and even some Pikmin and Switch Sports representation. An official page of the event
This follows the cancellation of Nintendo Live Tokyo last December after Nintendo cited security concerns. The suspect was then arrested earlier this month and the Spatoon and Mario Kart championships were postponed.
