The popular Nintendo PlayStation model is now up for auction, as promised late last year. At the time of writing, the current bid stands at $ 31,000.
You can check this list for yourself here if you are interested; bidding will be applied for termination within the 22-day period and any prices set by the owner are not yet available to the public. Considering your owner declined a $ 1.2 million offer last year, we expect $ 31,000 to go through the roof – and then some.
If you don't know, this Nintendo PlayStation prototype is said to be the last of its kind. A joint effort from Nintendo and Sony that never made it to market, the console could play both Super Famicom cartridges and CD-ROMs. Its cancellation paved the way for Sony's PlayStation console.
We will make sure we look for this in the auction as the weeks go on – in part to keep it interesting and renewed, and partly because we couldn't please see how much it could sell.
We have $ 50 and a Mars bar if that will do it?
