As Letsgodigital shares, the past January 9th Nintendo of America presented a registered trademark in Argentina for Mario & Luigi. In the registry, we can read these uses:
Description of the brand of Nintendo Mario & Luigi: computer game cartridges; game memory cards; computer game software; video game memory cards; interactive entertainment software for playing video games; mobile phone cases.
For now it is unknown why this record is due, so we will be attentive to more details. What is clear is that the company does not plan to leave the series, which suffered a severe blow a few months ago with the closure of its usual developers, Alphadream
