Nintendo revealed today Japanese website for Endless Ocean Luminous, featuring new details on what to expect from the diving simulator when it makes a splash Tune in May 2.
The Japanese website is (shockingly) in Japanese TokyoGameLife has translated the newly discovered features so we can see what’s in store.
Let’s start with the most important thing: you can take selfies with fish! Okay, maybe that’s not it largest feature, but it sure is cool. What’s more, it looks like fish (and other underwater creatures) will be popping up in droves as the website reveals that there will be at least 578 different creatures for you to discover, photograph and swim alongside.
You’ll be able to choose which fish join you on your swimming journey, starting with a limited school but building up to something much more impressive as your diver rank rises.
The website also features diver customization, online challenges, and the ability to share codes so your friends can explore the same parts of the ocean as you.
However, what rings loud and clear in these new details is just how much variety is packed into this ocean. In the new screenshots (some of which can be found below) we get a glimpse of all sorts of underwater terrain including shipwrecks, coral, volcanoes and what look like lost civilizations. That all sounds pretty exciting, doesn’t it?
Endless Ocean: Luminous will dive into the Switch next month. You can now pre-order the game at eShop for £39.99 / $49.99.
