Yes, you read the title correctly. It looks like Nintendo’s new alarm clock will be able to receive some sort of software update, although Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo was only announced today, is currently only available at the Nintendo NY store and for US and Canadian Nintendo Switch Online members, and isn’t expected to fully to be launched by early 2025.
Despite this, the alarm clock received an update, bringing its software to version 2.0.0. There are even official patch notes for the update, which reveal that it’s a new mode, a new Records feature, and more. Of course, the alarm clock also gets system stability improvements. If you want to see the patch notes in full, you can do so below.
- Added “Moderate Mode” as a new mode option.
- Added “Motion Log” as a new Logs feature.
- This will automatically show up in the Logs if you go to bed during “Bedtime”.
- You can set this to On or Off in the “Records” menu on your device.
- “Bed distance” can now be set to max. 20 in/50 cm for Queen and King size beds.
- When “Check Sensor Zone” is triggered, the estimated “motion position” will now be displayed.
- General system stability improvements to improve user experience.
