Just today, a record achieved by the Nintendo Switch console and games in 2024 has been shared, undoubtedly incredible. The Nintendo Switch has become the Nintendo home console with the longest service life, surpassing the Famicom.
Released on March 3, 2017the Switch has been on the market for 2,687 daysone day more than the Famicom before the arrival of its successor, the Super Famicom/SNES. This record is specific to home consoles, as the Game Boy was Nintendo’s primary handheld console for 4,352 days before being replaced by the Game Boy Advance.
