And the Nintendo Switch has surpassed in total sales to Nintendo DS in Japan, according to the latest data from Famitsu. In the last week, the Switch sold another 40,000 units and the console’s overall total now stands at 32,903,701 units. Nintendo DS had sold 32,864,129 units in total in Japan.
All that remains is to overcome Total sales of Nintendo DS worldwide (DS has 154.02 million and Switch 141.32 million) and PlayStation 2 worldwide, which was 155 million until recently a former Sony executive raised it to 160.
