The NPD Group has announced the state of video games in the United States during the month of June. As Venture Beat reports, it was both the Xbox Series X|S and the Nintendo Switch family of systems which came out on top last month. The Xbox Series X|S was the best-selling hardware platform in dollar sales and the Nintendo Switch has been the best-selling hardware platform during the first half of 2021 in regards to both dollar and unit sales. The best -selling game for the month of June was Ratchet & Clank: A Rift Apart for Sony’s PlayStation 5 console. Nintendo’s Mario Golf: Super Rush performed well though at No.3 and it’s the best-selling Mario Golf game since Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour, which launched for the GameCube in July 2003.
