In this case, we are talking about a nod to the chosen ones, protagonists of Breath of the Wild together with their Divine Beasts. In this sequel, Nintendo wanted to honor them with this detail.
If we go to Link’s house in Hatelia, we can see that it has a box hanging with the photo that was taken with the chosen ones and Zelda. In it they all appear together before everything blew up.
Of course, this box only appears if we have bought the expansion pass and we have played The ballad of the chosen of that DLC in the first game. Also, if the save file is from master mode the box does not appear. Appears only to those with a Lay of the Chosen save file in normal mode.
