The Then Pokemon Company has officially revealed the Poison-Ghost type Pokemon Pecharunt today. The elusive Pokemon is found in the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet downloadable content, The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero. The Pokemon has apparently been awakened and you can check out a recently released video showing the history of Pecharunt below.
This Pokémon coils up the poison secreted from its shell to make Binding Mochi, which serves humans and Pokémon alike. Pecharunt then uses the chains to control those who eat his Binding Mochi, which is not only delicious, but also seems to draw out the deepest desires and latent powers of those who eat it. Pecharunt can also be very cunning. For example, they will feign weakness by crying and acting like a baby to gain sympathy from others.
There is a theory that a long time ago Pecharunt traveled to the land of Kitakami along with the Loyal Three, each of whom he subdued using his Binding Mochi – all in order to obtain certain masks coveted by the elderly couple who cared for Pecharunt.
