Dragon Quest series creator Yuji Horii stated that if fans play the upcoming Dragon Quest HD-2D remakes in chronological order, then they will be in for a new surprise that we haven’t seen before. Horii would not go into further detail about what players who complete the task should expect. Dragon Quest III was a prequel story, so in terms of chronology, the titles are in order of Dragon Quest III, Dragon Quest 1 and finally Dragon Quest II. Dragon Quest III HD-2D remake is coming first and is due out on November 14th.
