MLB The Show 24 is now live on Switch, but many players seem to be having serious issues with the game, reporting frequent crashes when trying to access the ‘Diamond Dynasty’ mode.

In a Reddit post titled ‘Can anyone play on Switch right now?’multiple users are reporting the same issue where the game crashes completely, sending the player back to the Switch home menu screen.

Original poster GTI_88 states “Right now I can’t play DD at all, every time I go to run the first moment in the program the game completely crashes. Tried last night, tried again this morning”.

NewYorkMets22 then replies and says “Yeah, mine still doesn’t work either. Very frustrating. Tried intermittently throughout the day yesterday and again now. It allowed me to create a team and go to the main DD page, but when I press A to go through the tutorial, once you get to where the moment was supposed to load, the game crashes and says a software error has occurred.”

Indeed, our own reviewer PJ O’Reilly has similar problems; therefore our own verdict has not yet been announced. He states on Xu that the game “is not working properly at all right now”:

While Sony doesn’t seem to have commented on the issues yet, we’ve asked for clarification and will update this post when some information becomes available.

For now, if you’re excited to dive into MLB The Show 24 on Switch, you might want to wait until these issues are resolved. It’s certainly not the best start for the game on Switch, but hopefully a patch will fix it soon.
