Production of Pokémon the anime series was temporarily detained due to the impact of the global epidemic in Japan.
TV Tokyo, the Japanese network that distributes Pokémon in the region, has updated its upcoming program, replacing the previously-released episodes and replacing the reruns (thanks, Serbian). At the moment it is unclear when the new episodes will begin airing again or how this may affect the release of the series.
The current online series in Japan went into effect in November of last year, with Ash Ketchum joining the Franchise joining the new character Go on a tour that takes all the Pokémon regions from Kanto to Galar.
