This may not have been the exact launch expected to be announced this week, but Nintendo has announced that Pokemon Direct will take place on January 9 at 9h30. Direct will be "20 minutes long" and contains "new Pokemon information". Apparently, Nintendo sent the announcement to Direct, so we include it below.
