Pokémon GO Player Beats Italy's Coronavirus Lockdown, Tells Police "I Must Run Pokémon"

Pokémon GO it can be a great way to pass the time, but it is definitely time and place.

Italy is currently closed following a series of reported cases of coronavirus in the country, and since 9 March. Currently, people are told to stay in their houses unless they are doing essential tasks such as fetching food, medicine, or going to work, and managers are walking the streets to make sure residents stay inside.

reports that, when asked questions, the man said, "I must hunt the Pokémon." Police reportedly charged him with his act, joining more than 43,000 other people across the country and those who have received similar sanctions.

Unfortunately, game developer Niantic has introduced new ways to help players get stuck, allowing them to still enjoy the game without overdoing it as usual. Needless to say, playing Pokémon GO probably won't cut you for your authorities if you're in the same situation, so it might be wise to stay safe and enjoy the game inside at this time.
