Welcome back to Box Art Brawl, a weekly newsletter where regional box art varies in the battle for size and your praise of beloved people.
Last week we took a look Zelda History: Mask of Majora celebrates its 20th anniversary by giving a thrilling impetus to this public viewing. In the end, the Japanese version took the gold medal with a European win, while North America followed the lead and took the bronze.
This week we go into the garden Pikmin 2 for GameCube. Captain Olimar's return in 2004 was a spectacular follow-up to Louie and the White and White Pikmin. The game also received the New Play Control release of the Wii in 2009 and it's worth digging through any of those shots if you haven't been to Pikmin 2 back in the day (at least while we wait for the next ephemeral entry in the series).
Let's get acquainted with our favorite Hocotate Freight staff.
Japan
The Japanese cover of Pikmin 2 retains the original concept of the original game (which featured a three-color Pikmin line against the orange background with flowers) and updated us with the new Pikmin on the Usual Suspects list.
We love the texture of clover and small flowers spread throughout, as well as the Japanese-only monument Pikmin 2-e The e-Reader for Game Boy Advance in the bottom right. Less, solid stuff from the East, then.
Europe
The key art used for the European release highlights the nature of each and every Pikmin in the branch and the delicious delicious fruits on display. It was not until recently that we noticed the magnificent Bulborb looking back at them.
With the new Pikmin flowing with magenta making it & # 39; 2 & # 39; s in the logo (as they do in the Japanese version), we really enjoy the bright, peaceful look of this cover. It's good to be back in nature now.
North America
Specifically we are looking at the US version here, not the Canadian cover that was similar to the European chapter. The logo is the same but the art shows Olimar on a sucking paper trapping Pikmin in a huge red-rushing waterfall. All five Pikmin are present and ready, and we see Louie taking the dip down.
Powerful and full of that Pikmin favorite, though with no focus on others. We would like a good shot though. A tough choice this week, that's exactly.
And that's a lot of you. We think it's going to be solid, so click on your preferences and hit the & # 39; Vote & # 39; below to do what it says on the button:
And that is the end of Brawl # 42. Well, last week was # 41 even though the article mentioned it earlier. Are you suggesting that we can't count, or have taken a lot of head shots after all this ridiculous artistic violence? Whatevs. Stay safe everyone, and join us for next week's Box Art Brawl # 311.
