North America and Europe
So both of the designs featured this week feature the same set of characters and looks very heroic. With a western design, there is nothing else here to take the focus away from the characters, and the logo itself is placed at the top of the composition.
The colors used here are simple beautiful; it’s bold and striking, but maintains an almost typical fantasy game color palette, with lots of browns, greens and, well… gold. Nice.
Japan
The Japanese design has the same set of characters, though there’s admittedly a bit more to look at here thanks to the ESRB and Nintendo’s logo blocking one character on the western design. Boooo.
There’s also a lot of blue in this design, surrounding the characters and extending to the left, allowing the Golden Sun logo to really pop. It’s a great design, and we’re honestly a bit torn about this one.
