It seems we have some new news about virtual reality, this time with Sony as the undisputed protagonist of the scene. Since a new patent registered by Sony on March 4, 2023, could be currently being developed.
Let us remember that this patent, although it was registered more than a year ago, was the day September 5, 2024 when it was made public and several media outlets reported on it. This patent would take the virtual reality system to a new level.
Designed to be compatible with prescription lenses, that users could insert into slots on the device, which would be fully customizable and would improve comfort, reduce the weight of wearing them, and would have eye tracking.

It is important to remember that, as with many patents, this technology may not reach the mercado or take several years to become a product. So we will have to wait some time to see if this project progresses into a real product or not.
