Update [Sun 18th Dec, 2022 04:30 GMT]: Sonic Frontiers game director Morio Kishimoto announced on social media that the same demo will be released globally.
“We have belatedly prepared a trial version only for the Switch version! From now on, it will be distributed in each country in turn. If you are wondering if you want to buy it, please try to play it once. You should notice that it is different from the last Sonic game and other open world games . It’s not too late to judge after you experience it”
Original article [Thu 15th Dec, 2022 03:25 GMT]: One of the most ambitious releases of the year was the new “open zone” adventure, Sonic Frontiers. If you’re still not sure if you’ll be interested in the Switch version of the game, Sega has now released a free demo on the Japanese eShop.
The demo is approximately 2.9GB in size and will allow players to try out the first 15 minutes of the title. It also has full support for the English language. To access this demo, you must have a Japanese Nintendo account created, and from there you can launch the digital store and download it.
This demo follows Sega announcing earlier this week that Sonic Frontiers has now sold more than 2.5 million copies worldwide. In the near future, it adds a free DLC item ‘Holiday Cheer Suit’. And it has a whole plan planned for 2023 – with content like a jukebox, photo mode, new story content and more.
