Nintendo, as you may recall, recently released an update earlier this month for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – adding a feature that allows users to download in-game items from the Switch’s news feed.
After giving away Hylian Shroom and Solider’s Broadsword for free in the previous news article, it now offers “two whole Dazzlefruits” to players. Here’s how you can redeem these items:
How to redeem items from the Switch News channel
1. From the Switch home menu, select the ‘News’ icon
2. Scroll to Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom news “Dazzle enemies to the bone with Dazzlefruit”
3. Press ‘Play Now’ inside the news article
4. Start Zelda, load the game file
5. “Receive two whole Dazzlefruits”
Here’s a little about Dazzlefruit and what they can do, according to Nintendo:
“Let us offer you a tip – in times like these, look no further than the humble Dazzlefruit. These plants create a flash of bright light when thrown, blinding your enemies, but against bone monsters they’re even more effective, instantly defeating them before they can even blink. ..how was it.”
In order to get these items, you will need to have the latest version of Tears of the Kingdom (1.2.0). Of course, if this just isn’t enough fruit for your taste, there are some other ways to get your hands on a lot more stuff. You can find out about it in our previous stories:
