Pokémon seems to be making the rounds on popular US TV shows at the time, starring its own episode of Jeopardy!
The show had its competitors trying to create cupcakes based on the characters we all love and admire, but the monsters they use now are not 100% accurate. In case you live in the US you can get a plan here
We're going to pull things off with a good one: Sobble. The shape is pretty straightforward, you can instantly say what it is, and its creation has Sobble's sad face. It is not a bad effort.
Next, a a different look Litten. We're not sure why it stands on two legs – as we think that's why we feel strangely lost when we look at it – but there's something about that body that gives us heebie-jeebies.
Next, the most popular of the group. Sure, the nature of this two-legged thing stands just like Litten before it, but look at that Water Gun. That's fine.
And finally, our party choice. Remember Chikorita? What a great start to the small grass breed brought to Pokémon Gold and Silver? Yes, forget it. Because we don't know what this is.
Sadly, Chikorita wasn't taken well enough to reach the next round of the competition.
The show also featured a giant squirtle, a Burbasaur spreading leaves and a sparkling Pikachu (seen above). Very good television.
