Limited Run Games has released several high-profile titles during the Switch’s lifecycle, and while we don’t know what the future holds for the physical distributor ahead of the current generation, it’s interesting that company CEO Josh Fairhurst recently visited Nintendo’s US headquarters, located in Redmond, Washington.

Unfortunately, he didn’t go into any further details other than saying it was a “great visit” and noting how “grateful” the Limited Run team is to have such “great partners” at Nintendo of America. You can see it below, in the photo next to the Nintendo sign that got a new color at the beginning of this year.

In a separate post, he revealed that he also caught up with the “legendary” Howard Lincoln – former president of the NoA (and former CEO of the Seattle Mariners). Lincoln apparently talked about his “time at Nintendo” and other life experiences, and the pair got a photo together:

While it’s probably best not to read too much into this, the timing of this visit is certainly interesting given that Nintendo has already confirmed that it will announce a “successor” to the Switch this fiscal year. All sorts of rumors have been circulating this month, suggesting that more information about the new system could be shared soon.

As for Limited Run, it’s still busy pumping out all kinds of physical releases not just for the Switch but for other console platforms as well. He recently announced that pre-orders for the Castlevania Dominus Collection have gone live. This distributor has made a name for itself in this generation so it will be interesting to see how it all unfolds when the successor to the Switch is finally revealed.
