We know former Nintendo American president Reggie Fils-Aimé was a great lover Super Super, History of Zelda and Metroid The series was long before he took part, but he wasn't exactly that finally collector Although he revealed that he had "over 80" Super Nintendo games recently, it turns out that he was not a GameCube owner when he applied to the company.
Speaking to Present Value podcast, Reggie said in an interview (in 2003), he had the original Xbox and PlayStation 2 according to current plans, but in fact he was not the owner of Nintendo's latest equipment. Here is exactly what was said (thanks to Nintendo Enthusiast for the text):
I knew Nintendo; I didn't know their franchises. Not only did I have a Super NES but Nintendo 64. I didn't have PlayStation 2; I had an Xbox – they were all in my house. Ironically, at the time when I was chatting with Nintendo, I didn't have a GameCube. So, as a consumer, I saw issues and opportunities. I would have a sense that when the needs were not just from a sales and marketing perspective, which was a role I was employed in, but just general perspective.
He makes a good point, actually. By getting it all and others modern platforms, Reggie was able to see "issues" and "opportunities" and that gave him a great idea, allowing him to improve the situation ahead of Nintendo.
