Previously, fans of the long-running life simulation series The Sims was excited when the Nintendo Switch version of the fourth game was seemingly revealed alongside other platforms in the Google search description.
Unfortunately, there are “no plans” to release the game on Switch. The official communications account responded to this revelation, clarifying Sims 4 is not available on Nintendo Switch and is apparently a “search data error”. Here’s what he had to say:
“Oops! We’ve updated this information because this appears to be an error in the search data. The Sims 4 is not available without plans to release on Nintendo Switch.”
Although The Sims 3 eventually made its way to Nintendo platforms, there was never any talk of bringing a fourth entry to Nintendo’s system. EA is also now focused on its next entry, codenamed ‘Project Rene’:
