If you have a flooded Joy-Con, lost one, or need another, there is a smartphone app here to solve all your administrator-related problems on Nintendo Switch. It's called Joy-Con Droid by DeepBlue Labs and is currently in its alpha testing phase on Android devices. In fact, if you want to give it a try, you can download it for free now from the Google Play Store.
While it's in the early stages of development, and apparently "needs some work" according to a few user reviews on the Play Store, you can see it being used The History of Zelda: Wild Breathing, in the video below:
According to its definition, the app is able to turn your smartphone device into a Joy-Con left or right, or Nintendo Turnch Pro Controller. Its features include the following: pair with switch support, accelerometer and gyroscope, and custom gamepad interface. Users can also connect a USB gamepad to their phone, which acts as a bridge control switch.
To work, this application requires a Bluetooth HID profile and Android Pie (9) or higher. Here are a few from DeepBlue Labs manufacturers:
JoyCon Droid is an application suitable for users who are switch owners but do not want to spend more on JoyCon. The app preaches Switch JoyCon so you can control your Switch with it. In addition, the app allows you to connect your USB gamepad to your phone, which can act as a bridge control switch.
