Virtual guy was definitely not Nintendo very good hour. Besides this, this device was ahead of its time and over the years developed a cult following. In 2018, for example, the indie developer released the Virtual Boy emulator for the Oculus Rift headset – allowing users to play this brief generation of Nintendo gaming on modern VR technology.
Now, iFixRetro's retro console modders have turned the old Virtual Boy into an entire console. Instead of keeping your eyes on the red monochrome red display, this unique design allows you to connect the program directly to the television.
As explained by Kotaku, the iFixRetro team managed to make this possible by publishing a special 3D case. After this, they put a Virtual Boy headset motherboard inside it, along with a Virtual Tap board and a servo emulator.
A servo emulator was created with a console modder known as Furrtek, as well as the "tactics" of the headset – enables removal from television. Virtual Tap also plays an important role, allowing the images to be displayed at a better rate on the screen.
