Valve’s Steam Deck has already proven it’s able to run all sorts of video game emulators. What’s even more impressive though is just how capable it is when it comes to Wii U and 3DS emulation.
As highlighted by the website Steam Deck HQValve’s handheld PC is not only able to split screens across monitors with the right emulators (Citra for 3DS and Cemu for Wii U) but can also recreate the gyroscope controls featured in certain Wii U titles.
This was showcased in a few Wii U games that still aren’t available on the Nintendo Switch – The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD and Star Fox Zero. You can see a full video
And again, if you’re just up for some dual screen gaming on the 3DS (or Wii U), that’s also been made possible with the Steam Deck. Below is a “proof of concept” featuring The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D:
