It's that time of year to reflect, to sit back and review all the wonderful games that were released in 2024. It's time to stare off into the distance with a forlorn expression on your face wondering how you did it not play so many great new games this year as the Vampire Survivors DLC continued to eat away at your free time as… well, as a vampire. Yes, it's GOTY time.
While the industry continues to navigate turbulent waters, with layoffs continuing in game development, publishing, and media, gamers themselves have once again had an excellent year in terms of great new games to play. Whether big or small, there were more fantastic things to play than hours in the day for all but the most myopic gamers.
The Switch's eighth year has been full of brilliance, with long-delayed games finally seeing the light of day and indie games taking off as they have throughout the console's life. As in years past, here at Nintendo Life we're putting together our list of GOTY staff, but today we ask you to rate your favorites for the big one – our community-ranked dynamic Top 50 Switch games of the year.

How to rate your games in 2024
Below you'll find every Switch game we've reviewed this year rated 6/10 or higher. To rate any game you've played, registered users can click the star next to the corresponding title and rate it out of 10.
IMPORTANT NOTE: All Switch games released in 2024 are eligible and available for evaluation through our database.
We've limited the number of games shown below to save you from the incredible amount of software that has clogged up the eShop this year. However, any game released on Switch is eligible for a review, so if there's something we haven't reviewed (or just didn't enjoy as much as you did), head to the search bar at the very top of the page and rate it directly on that game's page.
Later in the month, all of your ratings will be sorted into the Top 50 Switch Games of 2024, one that will continue to be influenced by user ratings even after it's released. This means that if a great game launches between now and the New Year (hey, they're still coming thick and fast!), it still has every chance of making the list if it gets enough love from NL readers.
