Nintendo Live 2023 is a new way to celebrate the games and worlds of Nintendo. The free event will feature a wide variety of different activities for attendees of all ages to take part in – even if you have no gaming experience at all – with something for everyone around every corner.
Nintendo Live 2023 will be in a space that will feature different areas themed around a range of Nintendo games with a variety of experiences and activities. Some of these activities include:
- Nintendo Switch gameplay: Nintendo Live 2023 will feature gameplay from a wide spectrum Nintendo Switch games, including The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Realm, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Pikmin 4 and more. You can also put your Mario skills to the test and take part in “Mario Dojo”, a fast and furious challenge in three rounds of three different Mario games! There will even be a Nintendo Switch Online Classics Zone featuring classic games in an area that will make you feel like you’ve stepped straight into the 80s.
- Meet and greet: Nintendo Live 2023 will definitely not lack superstars. Characters such as Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Kirby and other familiar faces such as Tom Nook, Isabella and KK Slider from the Animal Crossing games will be on hand to meet and take photos with fans.
- Opportunities for unforgettable photos: Want to take some unique photos? Nintendo Live 2023 will feature plenty of photo opportunities! From touring the big Kirby and Forgotten Lands and Pikmin 4 sculptures to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate mural and immersive experience inspired by an idyllic island escape setting Animal Crossing: New Horizonsthere will be plenty of places to capture an unforgettable image and share it with friends and family on social media.
- Live stage: In addition to separate areas, Nintendo Live 2023 will feature a main stage where we expect to host live performances, including daily performances of music from the Super Mario and Legend of Zelda series and a showcase of other entertainment.
- Gaming tournaments: While Nintendo Live 2023 will feature some high-level tournaments for participants to participate in or attend as spectators, there will also be additional tournaments for fans of a range of skill levels. A different competition will be held every day:
- September 1: On the first day of Nintendo Live 2023, the Super Smash Bros. tournament. Squad Strike will be open to fans 13 and older who want to show off their versatile Super Smash Bros. skills. Ultimate.
- September 2: The 2023 Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Championship will take place on September 2, with on-site qualifying for the last chance for those looking to race their way to the big stage.
- September 3: On September 3rd, the spotlight will be on the next generation of fighters at the Super Smash Bros. Expo. Ultimate amiibo+me 2023 Participants aged 10-16 can train their amiibo fighters and battle other participants and their amiibo fighters to see who wins.
- September 4: Closing out the event is the Splatoon 3 2023 Championships, with the top qualified teams from the upcoming Splatoon 3 Championship 2023 Qualifiers taking place June 3-4 and June 10-11.
