Creepy fishing sim Dredge is getting its next dose of DLC August 15, 2024with its new ‘Iron Rig’ update.

This update is the “second official expansion” for this title. As highlighted in the PR, it adds a new story, new levels of gear, abilities, gadgets and consumables. Also added are 50 new fish, a new fishing gear level, new characters, new hazards, new lore and new world events.

“The Iron Rig is the game’s second flagship expansion and will allow players to revisit each area from the base game with a new purpose. It is intended to launch at any time during EXCAVATOR adventure, players will work with the Ironhaven Corporation and collect resources to build an impressive base of operations, unlocking new levels of equipment, abilities, gadgets and consumables.

“As the rig’s drilling operation intensifies, something stirs in the primordial depths. A dark liquid begins to seep into familiar and once safe areas of the game, turning them into danger zones. Players must carefully assess the impact of this mysterious substance on the local fish species, discovering peculiar specimens from the abyssal depths as they go around adding more than 50 new fish to the game’s encyclopedia.”

This new extension will set you back $11.99/$11.99/£11.99. The complete edition of the game is also being released digitally August 15, 2024.

Later in November, the Dredge Collector’s Edition is released for £99.99/$99.99/$99.99with pre-orders now live. Here’s a look:
